It is a funny thing – you would think that with American flags, along with rifles, on the wall and belt buckles that say things like I’d rather be hunting, a store might give off something other that a stylish place to shop vibe. Not so with Ball and Buck in Boston’s North End, right next to Paul Revere’s house. I wonder if this concept would work in any other state. Here, the store, which sells exclusively American made goods, rings patriotic, Yankee and high end. Juniper Ridge is thankfully there – the line fits really well, nestled between the hunting magazines and the Danner boots. I scored a sweet vintage Woolworth shirt that saved my ass from the biting ocean wind outside.
